Men's Bible Study:
Meets every Friday morning at 6 am at the church office. All men are invited to study 1 Samuel and spend time in prayer.

Our vision for intercessory prayer comes from 1 Chronicles 12: 23 and 32:

 

These are the numbers of the men armed for battle who came to David at Hebron to turn Saul’s kingdom over to him, as the Lord had said:

 

The men of Issachar who understood the times and knew what the people of God should do.

 

Our goal is to understand the times and to know what the people of God should do. Toward that goal, we pray for the following:

 

Ø      We seek God for knowledge, understanding, and wisdom (Proverbs 3:19-20, Colossians 1:7-9, James 1:5).

Ø      We desire to know and be captured by God’s heart for the world (Matthew 9:35-38).

Ø      We seek to apprehend the authority and power God has given to believers in His church (Matthew 28:18-20).

Ø      We hope for God to change our hearts so that we can know and proclaim His will, desires, and plans for the world and for situations we find in the world (1 Samuel 10: 5-6).

Ø      We want to help extend the kingdom of God throughout Oxford, Mississippi, the United States, and the ends of the earth (Acts 1:7-8).
