Please join us for our next regional chapter meeting in Starkville, MS. Dr. Benjamin Gladd will lead our time together, as we hear him speak on the importance of biblical theology in preaching and the New Testament Use of the Old Testament. Dr. Gladd (Ph.D., Wheaton College) serves on TGC’s staff as executive director of The Carson Center for Theological Renewal. He previously served for 12 years as professor of New Testament at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi. He has authored and edited numerous books including From Adam and Israel to the ChurchHandbook on the Gospels, and The Story Retold (with G. K. Beale). He is also the coeditor of New Studies in Biblical Theology and the coeditor of Pillar New Testament Commentary series with Don Carson. Benjamin and his wife, Nikki, have two sons.

We will give away several copies of Dr. Gladd's new release, Connecting Scripture New Testament, a CSB translation of the New Testament with many additional resources to assist pastors. This new release helps readers connect the New Testament to the grand narrative and overarching redemption story of the Bible. This unique and accessible study resource includes a robust cross-reference system that highlights Old Testament quotations, allusions, and parallels within the New Testament and promotes the underlying unity of Scripture. Book introductions, study note commentary, articles, and helpful charts and infographics are also included throughout to further highlight and explain important theological themes and recurring connections between Old and New Testament books.

What is it?

TGC North Mississippi is a regional chapter of The Gospel Coalition that exists to equip, encourage, and connect pastors and ministry leaders across our area. We host quarterly gatherings featuring guest speakers, teaching, prayer, and fellowship, as well as ongoing local gatherings for encouragement, prayer, networking, and collaboration.

Who should come?

Pastors, ministry staff, church planters, seminary students, and those training for gospel ministry in North Mississippi, though those from other geographic areas are also welcome.

Why does it exist?

Churches in our region often minister in isolation, across denominations and towns. TGC North Mississippi seeks to build gospel-centered unity, support, and strategy among leaders who share a heart for Jesus and for his church. We want to address rural ministry challenges, steward the opportunities at our major universities, and strengthen relationships across the region.

When and where?

We gather for quarterly meetings to take place at different churches across North Mississippi. Once registration is available, the next meeting date, location, and other information will be posted at the top of this page.

Want to join us?
